I wasn’t planning on watching this show, but some buzz about it being like girls gone wild piqued my interest.
So the vaunted Shiki begins. And while the first episode wasn’t great, focusing more on mood-setting and character introductions, it has some potential.
So everytime the Chartfags chart is released for the first time, I read through it and think "damn, all these shows suck! Next season is going to suck!" And then next season rolls around and I start watching the shows and without fail, I usually say positive things about most of the shows I watch. I had no real intentions to watch Mitsudomoe, but after Scamp posted positive impressions, I decided to give it a shot. And lo and behold, Mitsudomoe is actually a funny show.
Well, that was fun. A lot of fun actually. Zombie flicks should be relatively brainless, violent and provocative. High School of the Dead hits on all those marks.
I wasn’t planning on watching Kuroshitsuji 2, but I was enticed by others posting about the "troll" and had to see what it was. If you watched the first season and haven’t seen it yet, I suggest you not read any of those posts lest you give away the fun. This post, however, will be short and spoiler-free.
JC Staff has had a pretty good run lately. Hayate no Gotoku 2, Toradora, A Certain Scientific Railgun, uh and I guess you can toss the Shana and Zero no Tsukaima sequels into the mix, although they sort of sucked. Ookami-san to Shichinin no Nakatamachi (from now on to be referred to as just Ookami-san) feels sort of like they tossed all those shows into the blender and pooped something out that didn’t include Rie Kugimiya (thank goodness).
